The Canady Family


The Canady family resides in Lexington North Carolina. A diverse group made up of individuals from many different walks of life and many different interests. The Canady’s share a neighborhood made up of the entire family. While work might be there first thing on the Canady’s minds, family has always come first in their hearts.



Rick & Penny Canady

Rick & Penny Canady are both originally from Lexington North Carolina. They have been married for 40 years. Rick Canady is a Graduate of Lexington Senior High while Penny is a Graduate of North Davidson High School. They are the parents of Natalie Walser and Craig Canady; they are Grandparents to Trace, Maddox and Tye. Rick is retired from the City of Lexington and dabbles in real estate. Penny is retired from selling office supplies to many of Lexington’s businesses. Rick and Penny are active members of Shiloh United Methodist Church. When Penny is not busy running Canady’s Landscape & Erosion Control, she and Rick enjoy spending time in Garden City South Carolina vacationing and spending time with their grandchildren. They also have a Yorkshire Terrier named Odie Canady.


Craig Canady & Stefanie Grubbs

Craig & Stefanie have known each other since 2002. In the fall of 2008 they reconnected and have been together ever since. Craig is a 1997 Graduate of North Davidson High School. Stefanie is a 2000 Graduate of West Davidson High School and a 2005 Graduate of Mars Hill College. In 2010 they built their home on “Canady Lane” and joined the rest of the family on the “compound.” Craig & Stefanie spend the majority of their time running the Canady Companies; however when they are not working they enjoy spending time with Craig’s son Trace and their two four legged babies Lexus & Bear. Apart from the Canady Companies, Stefanie is an advisory board member of America’s Clogging Hall of Fame, as well as the founding and managing director of the Nationally accredited team, The Carolina Fusion Cloggers. David & Natalie Walser

David & Natalie Walser have been together since 2000. They were married in 2005 at the Richard Childress Winery. In 2007, David and Natalie built their home on “Canady Lane” and joined the rest of the “compound.” David is a 1989 Graduate of West Davidson High School and is employed by Childress Properties. Natalie is a 1994 Graduate of North Davidson High School and is Co-Owner and Founder of “Cleaning Compliance” of Lexington, NC. In 2012, David and Natalie welcomed the newest addition to the Canady family, Errington Tye. When they are not busy working Natalie & David enjoy spending time with their new baby Ty; nephews: Trace & Maddox and nieces Skylar, Brittany and Alex. The Couple also enjoys vacationing in West Jefferson during the fall and winter months.


Christina Canady

Christina Canady is the mother of Richard Canady, III also known by our family as Trace. Christina met the Canady family in 2006. Christina is originally from High Point NC. While Christina has been residing in Lexington since 2007, she moved to “Canady Lane” in 2011 and became a permanent fixture of the “compound.” Christina has worked in property management for the past 7 years. When she is not busy playing mom to Trace or working a full time job she enjoys spending time with her mom Betsy and the newest member of her family . . . a Boston Terrier named Spanky.
